I have a macrame piece for hanging a plant in that my great Aunt made. It pretty much represents my knowledge of macrame. And then I came across this site - Macrame Collective. Incredible what people can do with hand knotting. Particularly liked the work of Merrill Morrison (teapot and shoe) and Norman Sherfield (birds and lighthouses).

Chelsea In Bloom
The Chelsea Flower Show is on in London and to spread the floral joy, local retailers compete for the coveted floral crown of Chelsea of Bloom. Surprise surprise this year's theme is the Diamond Jubilee. My favorite is Mary Quant even though the Royal theme content is marginal. And what is not to love about Ted Baker's corgis:) Full gallery here.

Basket of Pillows
I took this picture yesterday and just love it. The basket is an old bamboo and wire fisherman's basket that I found in a flea market in Paris years ago.

Having a British Friday
Maybe the world is trying to tell me something....that it's time for a visit to London? Just finished hanging this fabulous Brooke Bond Tea sign in the shop when the postman dropped off the latest edition of Selvedge magazine which has the Queen on the cover. Having a cup of tea to celebrate is probably as close as I will be getting to London in the next while but I am going to make sure its a spectacular cup of tea and enjoy wading through my new mag! Wishing you a spectacular weekend!
